Man Spreading & Digilantism

“Digilantism” is a concept we borrow from the work of Jane (2017a), a media scholar who writes about the proliferation of “manspreading”—referring to “men who sit with their legs in a wide v-shape filling two or three single seats on public transport”—and the feminist activists who covertly photograph perpetrators in order to identify and expose them publicly online (p. 459). Jane (2017a) traces the genealogy of this campaign—the initial grievances aired through blog posts and hashtags, as well as the “hostile and vitri- olic” retorts from men’s rights activists—and introduces the term “digilantism” to describe an emerging style of networked response.

I guess Hugleikur Dagsson's art work is also part of this digilantism?!
